Jill McDougallJill McDougall has been writing stories and poems since she discovered that pencils were not for munching on. Well … not only for munching on. Her early stories were published in the children’s pages of newspapers and later, in women’s magazines.

After the publication in 2000 of Jill’s highly popular anthology Anna the Goanna, she completed her Professional Diploma of Children’s Writing and signed up for the Career Booster program. This fabulous career move kept her motivated and led to the publication of her junior novels Seriously Snappy/Seriously Creepy.

Jill now has over ninety published titles, several of which have been translated into Spanish, Chinese and Swedish. She writes poetry, short stories, mid-grade novels and chapter books as well as non-fiction articles and books for schools.
